New Product

How should I start this? Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! Yes I'm sooo LATE and I haven't made a post since last year! Today I went to Target and decided to check out the hair products they have right now. I spotted the Curls "Curl Creme' Brule" moisturizer for $10.99 and decided to give it a try.  Now we all know I am not a product junky, I like to try different products when I use up what I already have. Lately I've been using Taliah Waajid's Curly Curl Cream as a base for twists and other styles. My thoughts? I will not be purchasing this product again because it causes MAJOR flakes for me. I thought that when I used it with gel that's what caused the flakes but when I don't use gel I still have flakes and that's not COOL. Here is a picture of the product in case you guys don't remember...

So I washed my hair today and decided to put twists in using the curl creme' brule product. Now I love the smell and consistency of the product and felt that it was very light and coats the hair very nicely. Tomorrow I will be taking my medium sized twists out and style. After that I will take pictures so you all will get to see the finished look. The question on my mind now is whether or not I will have a defined twist out because the product says it's not meant for hold so I may have to experiment by using it with gel another day. Has anyone used any of these products? What were your thoughts? Stay tuned guys! I'll be back :)

Products I found

I bought these products a couple of weeks ago just for the hell of it while browsing in Sally's Beauty Supply and Walgreens. I have been looking for a reliable deep conditioner that actually conditions the hair DEEPLY lol and I found this:

This deep conditioner is a product from Silk Elements and yeah it is pretty cool. I believe it was like $5 or $6...I don't really remember.  I only used it once but I was not disappointed. My hair did not feel stripped and it felt nice. I will probably use it this weekend. No complaints here. Then I found some sample packets of this:

Hair One Cleanser and Conditioner with Argan Oil...maybe $1 a pack. I am going to use the second packet tonight. I don't remember if it cleaned my hair like a shampoo...oh it's sulfate free and it didn't leave my hair feeling stripped. When I use it tonight I will update this with more details. As you can see I'm not a big reviewer of products lol but if a product sucks I will tell you DEFINITELY!

Lastly I bought this from Walgreens:

Taliah Waajid Curly Curl Cream for less than $10. I use it to moisturizer my hair and for twist outs and such. It's not really good by itself to leave you with that defined look and it doesn't define your hair like a gel would. Smells like candy though :) It's cool I just use a little gel with it to set my styles. Have you guys tried any of these products? What are your thoughts?

Marly Braiding Hair

On this week I was inspired to try a different hairstyle with my hair from watching young ladies style their hair on youtube of course. In the video posted at the end, the girl has Marly Braiding Hair that she puts into a huge twists to create a bun. SO I went to my local beauty supply store and bought this hair for like $3.99:

The awesome thing about this hair is that it looks like natural hair! It was dry as shit but it blended perfectly with my hair...

My hair is in the middle and the weave is surrounding my hair so you can not tell the difference :) Great style to do when you don't feel like doing much with your hair. If you can put your hair in a pony tail you can certainly try this style. I just used gel and water to slick my hair back and bobby pins. Here is the video that shows exactly what I did! Let me know if you guys decide to try it out. P.S. Why my waves can't look like her waves! lol

Water Marble Nails Gone Wrong

Am I the only person that just discovered water marble nail art? While on youtube of course, I came across a tutorial on how to do designs by putting drops of nail polish in water then dipping your finger into the pattern. Looks and sounds easy right?  I was like owwww I have got to try this! Here is a video so you guys can get a visual:

So yeah I tried it and I followed the steps like they said and yeahhh it didn't look good to me (or anyone else except my Dad lol)  LOOK!

This is a hot ass mess! lol I used China Glaze polish and some colors dissolved well in the water and then again I was being impatient and trying to get a good angle and blah blah. It was pretty messy because I didn't use enough tape to cover my fingers. So I took this water marble off my nails and did something else. Here it is:

Now I like this design! I used China Glaze in white for the base and a the blue was used with the polish with the small brush, I think it's called Stripes or something idk. Will you guys ever try to water marble design? One day I will do it again and be successful!

MAC makeover

Last weekend I went to Dillards to get a new bottle of perfume and started exploring the different makeup counters. I came across the MAC counter and the makeup artist at the counter looked awesome! She had bold blue eye shadow on so I was like oww can you do mine! lol The last time anyone has ever done my makeup was when I was like 12 and I looked dead.

So I sat down and had fun getting a mini makeover. The catch? You have to purchase $50 in products. THAT'S EASY AS PIE to do at MAC. So I did it...Here is what I looked like after my makeover lol ***for a closer view click the pictures***

I really don't like the caked on look and to me it looks like too much. I suppose it's because I'm not into loud makeup. I loved the eye shadow she used on my eyes though and the lip gloss. Here are the items I ended up buying that she used.

The foundation is NW45, the Paint Pot is Groundwork, and the Lustreglass is Beaux. Now today I was a little scared to used the foundation because I didn't want to look like a cake again lol But the color is actually THE BUSINESS on me lol. And the Paint Pot really made my eye shadow POP! I really enjoyed my makeover. Here is my look today.

It evened out my skin tone and looks more natural. Maybe the next time I go get something done I'll do something BOLD! What do you guys think?

New shoes!

I went to the mall today and FINALLY bought the Blue Suede Jessica Simpson platforms :) yayyy! I know I'm late and everybody seems to have a blue suede shoe but dang it I got them now! I'm now looking for a nice chocolate brown wedge sandal but they are just so hard to find! Okay tell me what you guys think!

I think I'm like 6'0 in these shoes :) Now I need to figure out what I'm going to wear with them. Any suggestions?

I've been thinking...

I've been thinking lately that maybe I should do different posts weekly with all my different shoes! I mean that was part of my idea when I first started this blog as well as show shoes that I can't afford as well as ones that I'd definitely buy. Do you guys care to see what shoes are in my closet? I know someone does! This is going to be one of my missions to complete!
