Curls and Rollers

The last time I did a roll-n-set on my hair was when I transitioned, which was over a year ago. I decided to give it a try on my curly hair this time. It was kind of hard because I had to smooth the curls out completely and make sure my ends were smooth! I actually like how it turned out.

I used Lottabody Foam Wrap and Perfect Results Shea Butter Cream, and sat under my hooded dryer for like an hour and some change. The second day I ended up putting my hair into a puff but didn't take pics! So here are a few pictures of how the style turned out and the products I used.

Detangling and Shampooing

While watching videos on youtube I came across a very helpful video on how youtuber RenieceHairTv detangles and shampoos her long 4A hair. I also have the same curl pattern which is tightly coiled, and very easy to tangle and knot up, so I thought I'd give her technique a try for myself. I must say it really made things easier for me. It may take me a little longer but it's better for me in the end. I just wanted to share this video with you all in case you all want to tweak your current detangling and shampooing method.

Mini Twists Again

The last time I did mini twists in my hair was in June so I decided to try them again on my hair. It took me 2 days to finish but I did :) I don't know how long I will keep them in but it will be for a while. I definitely see the growth!

Cotton On

I went to the mall recently and spotted a new store that just opened called Cotton On! Now this is my first time EVER hearing of this store so I went in and looked around and I must say they have great prices. If I didn'tcontrol myself I probably would have bought everything in the store lol. I just ended up getting a dress for $19.90 and a Cream colored Beanie for $6.90. Sooner or later I'll definitely be going back to get a few sweaters and cardigans because they had some very nice selections and they would match perfectly with the dress! As far as my pictures go, I put a pair of shoes that I own with the dress because those are some shoes that I would wear with it. Tell me what you all think!

Hair Growth

Earlier this month I straightened my hair and trimmed it just to see what my ends looked like and check out my new growth. As far as wearing it in a straight style through out the week, I wasn't able to do so because I would have had to go to a salon and I don't really feel like it YET! But once Winter kicks in I do plan on wearing it straight. I just wanted to show you all a picture comparison from February 2010 and October 2010. So far my hair is growing nicely despite a few minor set backs! I'm planning on seeing a dermatologist soon to see why I've been having problems! Once I do, I'll definitely let you guys know what's going on. Until then check out these pictures.
